Inspection policy
What we check before shipment, what we send you, and what our report is not.
Last updatedScope
Every order is inspected before loading, regardless of size, at no separate charge. We check specification against the order document, physical condition, tare weight, quantity, and the loading and securing.
Evidence you receive
A photo set covering the unit from all four sides plus the detail areas relevant to the model, the certified weighbridge ticket, and a written note of anything that differs from the order. This reaches you before the balance is due.
Used equipment
For used units we additionally record engine hours, chassis and engine numbers, brake and tyre wear, hydraulic condition, and any accident repair we can identify. We report what we find, including findings that would lose us the sale.
What our report is not
We are not a third-party certification body. Our report does not replace SGS, BV or CIQ certification, and we do not issue engineering approvals or test to rated capacity. Where you need third-party certification we arrange it and pass through the cost.
If a unit fails
The supplier corrects it and we re-inspect, or we source the unit elsewhere. You do not pay the balance on a unit that does not match the order.
Buyer attendance
You are welcome to attend. Tell us your dates and we schedule the inspection around your visit and arrange yard access.
This page is a plain-language summary for buyers. The binding terms are those in the sales contract issued with your order confirmation. Where the two differ, the contract governs. Questions to info@altasinternational.com.
